GATHERINGS

Check back here and follow us on instagram for announcements about future workshops, talks, and gatherings. Or, get in touch with us about crafting a custom workshop.

We are excited to share some of our passions with you as we work towards building a studio and community space centered around poetry, plants, and creativity. We dream of evenings spent sipping natural wine from handmade ceramic vessels while listening to writers, botanists, environmentalists, farmers, artists, and dreamers share their visions for more reflective presents and more sustainable futures; we dream of afternoons binding publications filled with community perspectives on art and nature; we dream of slow days of writing, potting plants, and brewing tea with our neighbors and friends.

WORKSHOPS

Here is a taste of some of the workshops we can customize for you or your group:

FORAGED STILL LIFE STYLING

We start with a guided walk and talk through the woods to gather materials to bring back to the studio. Working with our found materials, you will work collaboratively with Nina to style a still life that you can capture though photography, pencil, or paint while sipping on natural wine and tea.

We can also prepare a still life using our pre-foraged and found objects that participants will draw and paint from while enjoying natural wine, and tasting tea.

TINY TWIGS NATURE WORKSHOPS

An afternoon program intended for young naturalists & their caretakers. We will spend time in a natural environment (a forest, field, or even a backyard) collecting materials before returning to the studio. There we will create writing and artwork inspired by nature. Tea and cookies included.

Berkshire-based poet Nina Pelaez shares some of her recent work, including poetry written about the local landscape. Her writing draws from mythology, art history, phenomenology, etymology, photography, nature, and the intersections of art and science. She will also share an excerpt from a work-in-progress called Tender, a participatory performance/reading/workshop exploring practices of exchange, vulnerability, sensitivity, and care.
